Information for participants of the VIII International Siberian Transport Forum

Dear colleagues,
The International Siberian Transport Forum is the largest industry event in the region, the purpose of which is the interaction of government bodies, science, and the business community to solve actual problems of the transport and road-building complexes, increase the investment attractiveness of Siberia. More than 9,000 people visit the forum annually. The Forum is taking place in Novosibirsk in the International Exhibition Complex “Novosibirsk Expo Centre” (ul. Stancionnaya, 104). The Forum is organized by the Government of the Novosibirsk Region, the Ministry of Transport of Russia, the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Legislative Assembly of Novosibirsk Region, and Siberian Transport University. In 2019, the International Siberian Transport Forum will be held from May 22 to 25. Leading experts in the field of transport from more than 15 countries will meet on May 22-25, to exchange the latest scientific achievements, to strengthen the academic relations between the leading scientists of the European Union, Russia and the World, to create favorable conditions for collaborative research and implement collaborative projects in the fields of transport.
The Forum program includes activities in ten thematic sections:
1. Air transport;
2. Railroad transport;
3. Inland water transport;
4. Passenger transport;
5. Passenger taxi;
6. Transport and logistics complex;
7. Population safety in transport;
8. Road engineering complex;
9. Road traffic safety;
10. Science, education, personnel.
The final resolution of the Forum, formed on the basis of the proposals of the participants of the thematic sections, is sent to the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation. In 2019, the key agenda of discussions will be the implementation of the national project “Safe and high-quality roads” and the Comprehensive Plan for the expansion and modernization of infrastructure, including in the Siberian Federal District. Participants will discuss issues of digitization of the transport industry, infrastructure development; improving the traffic safety, aspects of legislative regulation.
